AgendAccess: your inclusive cultural agenda at your fingertips

AgendAccess, developed by the non-profit Autonomia, aims to make cultural events accessible to people with disabilities as well as their relatives. Thanks to its filters and collaborative logic, it collects everything you need to know...

AgendAccess is an online agenda intended for people with disabilities, their caregivers, and relatives. Its goal is to provide a global view of accessible cultural events throughout Belgium, for all types of disabilities.

How does it work?

  • The user can search for events using filters: type of event, theme, geographic location, nature of the disability.

  • Each event has a descriptive sheet with practical information: date, time, place, access conditions, and often a link to register.

  • The project is collaborative: anyone or any association can suggest an event to add to the agenda.

Awards & funding

AgendAccess received the 2022 AKCESS Prize from Prométhéa, accompanied by a €10,000 grant, recognizing its exemplary role in ensuring culture access for all.

This money is used to improve the user experience, comply with digital accessibility standards (notably AnySurfer), and increase the platform's visibility.

 Why is AgendAccess important?

  • It addresses a real need: access to information about events is often fragmented, incomplete, or not very accessible. AgendAccess centralizes this information.

  • It contributes to social and cultural inclusion: going out, participating, being present in cultural activities strengthens social bonds.

  • By improving digital and physical accessibility of content (standards, descriptions, registration methods), it serves as a model for other similar initiatives.

Who is it for?

  • People with disabilities (sensory, motor, cognitive ...) who want to find accessible events.

  • Relatives, caregivers.

  • Cultural or social associations wishing to publicize their events to a wider audience.

  • Institutions & public authorities interested in accessibility and inclusion issues.
