Between familiar streets and iconic places, the walkers of 1030 Steps/Stride become spectators of intimate and universal stories, carried by rarely heard voices. A theater experience that brings Schaerbeek to life through an artistic walk.

On October 1, 2025, Autonomia asbl, in collaboration with Tristero, invites the public to join a theatrical walk through Schaerbeek covering two kilometers. Along the route, performers bring stories and experiences to life, based on testimonies from people with disabilities or persons with a migration background. It’s an opportunity to explore Schaerbeek in a different way, with a fresh and curious perspective on seldom-heard voices.

The walk, lasting about an hour, starts at the music kiosk in Josaphat Park and ends at De Kriekelaar. Designed to be accessible for people with limited mobility, the route promises emotions and discoveries. To conclude the experience, a cozy reception is provided in the foyer of De Kriekelaar, also accessible for PMR.
