It is the largest French-speaking teaching and education centre for people with disabilities (visual or hearing impairments and language or instrumental disorders).

THE IRSA:
- accompanies and supports the development and training of each child or adult so that they can live independently.
- offers each child or adult a high quality pedagogical, educational, medical and paramedical framework.
- offers basic education, secondary education, day care, accommodation, early help, rehabilitation, vocational training, etc.
- builds with each person with a disability a personalised programme of actions that meet their needs and aspirations.
